California Certified Legal Secretary Course
The California Certified Legal Secretary (CCLS®) certification is achieved by passing a seven-hour comprehensive examination conducted by LPI. Candidates are tested in California legal procedures, legal terminology, legal computations, performance skills, reasoning and ethics, law office administration, and the ability to communicate effectively. A minimum of two years’ experience in the legal field is required. Continuing legal education requirements must be met for recertification.

Bay Area Legal Forum
Members are made up of legal secretaries, paralegals, attorneys, and court staff throughout the Bay Area. The Forum meets approximately every six to eight weeks to plan educational programs. For more information, go to www.bayarealegalforum.org.
