Founded in 1940, Santa Clara County Legal Professionals Association (SCCoLPA) is a chapter of Legal Professionals, Incorporated (LPI). Members of SCCoLPA are involved directly in the law field and legal community and include legal assistants, legal secretaries, paralegals, attorneys, legal administrative personnel, legal service providers, and students planning to enter the legal field.
SCCoLPA holds its membership dinner meetings monthly, and feature guest speakers who provide an educational presentation to SCCoLPA’s members and guests. At each dinner meeting SCCoLPA provides continuing education credits, i.e., MCLE for attorneys and paralegals and CCLS credit for California Certified Legal Secretaries. SCCoLPA also conducts its business meetings according to its bylaws and standing rules. The cost for the dinner meetings is typically $30.
Members of SCCoLPA and LPI are entitled to receive discounts on enrollment fees for educational workshops and seminars presented by SCCoLPA and LPI. Benefits available to qualified members of LPI (of which you are automatically a member when you join SCCoLPA as an active member) include rental car discounts; membership in credit unions; dental, health, retirement, and disability plans.
